We do strategy, innovation, and digital design as a force for meaningful change, guided by curiosity and care. Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, our studio works globally. We are designers, strategists, thinkers, and makers. Our work ranges from collaborations with clients such as Volvo, Reebok, and Red Bull to transforming scientific research into products and teaching students electronics. Our work has earned more than 30 awards, including FWA, Webby, D&AD, BMA B2, Event Tech Awards, Carte Blanche de VIA, and ANR (French National Research Agency).

Form and Essence is co-founded by Uros Petrevski and Erik Arvedson.
Uroš constructs his project ethics on the passion, enthusiasm and permanent exploration of technologies. He transforms algorithms in emotional and cultural objects designing experiences, interfaces, digital products, services, digital cities, digital scenographies and exhibitions. Uros was invested in auto-production as creator and maker of projects that have the intention to move boundaries of design by exploration of digital technologies. Some of these works were commercialised and industrialised later. Uros has six pieces in the permanent design collection in the MAM Museum of Modern Art in Paris. While his life in Paris he co-created Nodesign.net, an award-winning global design and innovation agency before staring new design agency Form and Essence.
Erik is a physicist turned designer, programmer and strategist. After leaving a research role in theoretical physics, he built his career in creative technology, digital innovation and brand strategy. He has led digital transformation projects for global companies, creating everything from early natural search tools to pioneering Kinect experiments and award-winning event technology.
